Braintrust, a startup that helps companies like Airtable, Brex, Notion, and Stripe build AI products, has raised $36 million in a Series A funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). The one-year-old startup, which offers large language model (LLM) evaluations and monitoring, is now valued at approximately $150 million. This latest funding brings Braintrust's total funding to $45 million. The company is also introducing 'functions,' a new primitive for building with foundation models, which is expected to enhance the developer experience in implementing AI models in production.
