Boston City Councilor Ed Flynn has condemned the recent acts of vandalism at the Boston Common and Public Garden, where several war monuments, benches, and a bridge were defaced with antisemitic and anti-American graffiti. The incidents, which occurred just before July 4th, are being investigated by the Boston Police Department as potential hate crimes. Flynn, a U.S. Navy veteran, has called for the perpetrators to be prosecuted and emphasized that such actions have no place in the city. Flynn shared images of the vandalism and noted the intimidation involved. The city has already begun cleanup efforts.
