VisitBoeing's Starliner Returns to Earth Without Crew, Lands in New Mexico Friday Night
Sep 7, 2024, 04:15 PM
Boeing's Starliner spacecraft successfully returned to Earth without its crew after undocking from the International Space Station (ISS). The capsule landed in New Mexico late Friday night, following a mission that saw astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams remain on the ISS due to NASA deeming the return trip too risky. The return was initially delayed to address technical issues discovered while the spacecraft was docked at the ISS. The astronauts are scheduled to return to Earth in February 2025.
