VisitBoeing's 35% Wage Hike and $7,000 Bonus in Tentative Deal to End Machinists Strike
Oct 19, 2024, 03:10 PM
Boeing Co. and the International Association of Machinists (IAM), representing around 33,000 workers, have reached a tentative wage deal to end a strike that has halted most of the company's production since September 13. The new proposal offers a 35% wage increase over four years, up from the 25% increase previously offered, and includes a $7,000 ratification bonus. Union members will vote on Wednesday on whether to accept the agreement and end the five-week-long work stoppage.
