Blinken Denounces Maduro's Presidency as Illegitimate, Urges Support for Edmundo González Urrutia

Blinken emphasized that the U.S. is ready to support a return to democracy in Venezuela. This statement comes in response to Maduro's recent inauguration, which has been widely contested internationally. Blinken also mentioned that president-elect Edmundo González Urrutia should be sworn in to begin the democratic transition.
