Dec 14, 2024, 10:19 PM
In the 125th edition of the Army-Navy Game, Navy quarterback Blake Horvath led the Midshipmen to a decisive 31-13 victory over the No. 22 ranked Army Black Knights. Horvath was instrumental in the win, rushing for 204 yards and accounting for four touchdowns, including two passing and two rushing. The game, held in Landover, Maryland, saw Navy dominate from the start, taking an early 14-0 lead. Despite Army's efforts to close the gap, Navy's defense held strong, intercepting Army quarterback Bryson Daily three times. This victory not only snapped Navy's two-game losing streak in the series but also marked their second win over a ranked opponent this season, a feat not accomplished since 1958. The win secured the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy for Navy, and Horvath was celebrated with 'Heisman' chants from fans. Navy finished the regular season with a 9-3 record, while Army, who had won the AAC championship, ended with an 11-2 record.
