Private equity giant Blackstone has confirmed a £10 billion ($13.32 billion) investment to build an artificial intelligence data centre in the northeast of England. The project, announced by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer while in New York, will create over 4,000 jobs in 2025 and is set to become the largest AI data centre in Europe. The data centre will be located in Cambois near Blyth, Northumberland. This significant investment is seen as a major boost to the UK's AI capabilities and economic growth in the region.
