BlackRock and Fidelity have amassed nearly $50 billion in Bitcoin holdings, with BlackRock's Global Allocation Fund increasing its stake in the Bitcoin ETF, IBIT, by 117% to 430,770 shares since its last report on July 31. This comes amid a backdrop of BlackRock's recent activities, including a notable sell-off of $188.7 million worth of Bitcoin, marking its largest sell-off to date. Additionally, BlackRock has recently purchased $10 million worth of a Bitcoin ETF for its portfolio. The total Bitcoin holdings of BlackRock and MicroStrategy combined now stand at approximately 996,290 BTC, with BlackRock leading the charge with 553,000 BTC, while Fidelity and Grayscale each hold around 200,000 BTC. The surge in U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs has seen total holdings rise to 1.13 million BTC in less than a year.
