BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, has announced the expansion of its tokenized treasury fund, the BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund (BUIDL), across multiple blockchain networks. Initially launched on Ethereum in March 2024, BUIDL will now be available on Aptos, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Optimism's OP Mainnet, and Polygon. The fund, tokenized by Securitize and supported by Wormhole's framework, represents a significant step in real-world asset tokenization. BUIDL has already amassed over $522 million in assets and aims to leverage the unique capabilities of these blockchains to enhance liquidity and accessibility for institutional investors.
