President Joe Biden, days before leaving office, expressed confidence that he could have defeated Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election had he remained in the race, citing polling data. In an interview published Wednesday with USA Today, Biden acknowledged doubts about his ability to serve another four years due to his age, saying, "I wasn't looking to be president when I was 85 years old, 86 years old... But I don't know. Who the hell knows?" He stated that he stepped aside to unify the Democratic Party and expressed confidence in Vice President Kamala Harris's ability to win, adding, "I was confident she could win." Biden also said, "I think Kamala could have beaten Trump and would have beaten Trump."
