Nov 14, 2024, 03:54 PM
The Biden administration is intensifying its support for Ukraine by committing to send as much military aid as possible before President-elect Donald Trump takes office on January 20th, 2025. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has assured NATO and European security officials during meetings in Brussels that the administration will utilize every dollar at its disposal to bolster Ukraine's defense against Russia's full-scale invasion. This includes sending weapons from U.S. warehouses within days or weeks, with plans to deliver aid packages weekly. The U.S. has already sent $8 billion in security assistance to Ukraine, with an additional $7.1 billion in military aid planned before the Biden-Harris administration's term ends. European leaders and officials are also urging the U.S. to increase military aid and impose additional sanctions on Russia.
