VisitBiden Administration Suggests Foreign Involvement in Havana Syndrome, to Brief Incoming Trump Admin
Jan 10, 2025, 06:42 PM
The Biden administration has cast doubt on the previous intelligence community's assessment that no foreign adversary was responsible for the incidents known as Havana Syndrome. In a White House meeting, National Security Council (NSC) officials informed victims that they have seen information contradicting the earlier findings. This comes as two U.S. intelligence agencies have shifted their stance, suggesting that foreign adversaries may have developed energy weapons capable of causing the symptoms experienced in some Havana Syndrome cases. The new intelligence assessment, released on Friday, indicates that while most of the intelligence community believes it is very unlikely a foreign adversary is behind the incidents, two agencies see a possibility that a foreign power may have developed or deployed a weapon responsible for the injuries. The White House has announced plans to brief the incoming Trump administration on these 'anomalous health incidents,' potentially caused by pulsed electromagnetic or acoustic energy systems.
