VisitBettor's $3.1 Million Eagles Wager Tested as Panthers Lead; Hurts, Calcaterra Regain Advantage
Dec 8, 2024, 08:04 PM
Circa Sports accepted a $3.1 million money-line bet from a Kentucky bettor on the Philadelphia Eagles to defeat the Carolina Panthers on Sunday at -700 odds, potentially netting $442,800 in profit. This wager is the largest the sportsbook has ever taken and one of the largest reported on an NFL regular-season game. Circa Sports owner Derek Stevens tasked his risk team with attracting buyback on the Panthers, expressing hope to need the Eagles. During the game, the Panthers have challenged the Eagles, leading at times and putting the bet at risk. Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard surpassed 1,000 rushing yards for the first time in his career and scored his ninth touchdown of the season. The Eagles retook the lead in the fourth quarter with a touchdown pass from Jalen Hurts to Grant Calcaterra, marking Calcaterra's first career touchdown.
