Speaking at the MEAD Conference in Washington, Gantz emphasized that Israel's focus should be on confronting Iran and Hezbollah, which he identified as the main threats to the country. Gantz's statements come amid ongoing conflict in Gaza, with other Israeli officials echoing the urgency of addressing threats from Lebanon and Hezbollah. A hawkish Likud MK also warned that a war with Lebanon is imminent, suggesting that Beirut could face devastation similar to Gaza. Netanyahu's rival highlighted that the real issues are Iran and Hezbollah, urging a shift in military focus to Lebanon.
