American tennis player Ben Shelton, aged 21, has advanced to the fourth round of Wimbledon after defeating Denis Shapovalov in a five-set thriller. The match concluded with scores of 6-7(4), 6-2, 6-4, 4-6, 6-2, marking Shelton's third consecutive five-set victory at the tournament. This achievement makes Shelton the first male player in the Open Era to reach the last 16 with three consecutive five-set wins after losing the opening set. Shelton, seeded 14th, will face world No. 1 Jannik Sinner in the next round. Notably, Shelton's father, Brian, also reached the fourth round at Wimbledon 30 years ago. Additionally, Shelton recently hit the fastest serve in Wimbledon history at 153 mph, the ninth fastest serve of all time. He has played a total of 15 sets in this year's tournament.
