American tennis player Ben Shelton, aged 21, has advanced to the fourth round of Wimbledon after defeating Denis Shapovalov in a five-set thriller. The match concluded with scores of 6-7(4), 6-2, 6-4, 4-6, 6-2, marking Shelton's third consecutive five-set victory at the tournament. Shelton, seeded 14th, will face world No. 1 Jannik Sinner in the next round. Notably, Shelton's father, Brian, also reached the fourth round at Wimbledon 30 years ago.
