Beatrice Chebet of Kenya delivered a remarkable performance at the Zurich Diamond League, winning the women's 5000m race with a world-leading time of 14:09.52. Despite falling short of the world record target of 14:00.21, Chebet's time is the seventh fastest in history and sets a new meet record. Her victory was achieved under challenging weather conditions and with strong pacemaking support. Chebet's nearest competitor, Ejgayehu Taye of Ethiopia, finished a distant second with a time of 14:28.76. American runners Karissa Schweizer, Elise Cranny, and Whittni Morgan finished fifth, eighth, and ninth respectively. Karissa Schweizer posted a time of 14:47.
