VisitBBC Accused of Over 1,500 Editorial Breaches During Israel-Hamas War, AI Data Research Finds
Sep 8, 2024, 07:14 AM
A recent report has revealed that the BBC breached its own editorial guidelines more than 1,500 times during its coverage of the Israel-Hamas war. The report, led by British lawyer Trevor Asserson and utilizing AI data research, found a deeply worrying pattern of bias against Israel. Former BBC executive Danny Cohen described the situation as an 'institutional crisis,' while Jewish groups and the Campaign Against Antisemitism have demanded an independent review. The report highlighted that Israel was associated with war crimes four times more than Hamas and was linked to genocide fourteen times more. BBC Arabic was particularly noted for its egregious breaches. Former British commander Richard Kemp accused the BBC of being 'horrifically biased' towards Hamas. Despite the findings, the BBC has denied the accusations of anti-Israel bias. OFCOM has yet to respond to the report.
