A U.S. bankruptcy court trustee has disclosed plans to shut down Alex Jones' Infowars media platform and liquidate its assets. This decision aims to help pay the $1.5 billion in lawsuit judgments that Jones owes to the families of Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims. The liquidating trustee in Jones' personal bankruptcy has also asked a judge to temporarily prevent these families from collecting assets from Infowars’ parent company. In an emergency motion filed Sunday in Houston, trustee Christopher Murray indicated that he intends to conduct an orderly wind-down of Infowars’ operations and liquidate its inventory.
