The Bank of Japan (BOJ) has decided to keep its policy rate unchanged at 0.1%. This decision was made unanimously by the BOJ board at 03:00 GMT. The central bank also announced that it will continue its bond purchases in line with the March meeting until July and will specify its plan for bond buying at the next meeting. The interest rate decision was in line with market expectations, maintaining the rate at 0.1%, which has been the same as the previous rate.
