British defense company BAE Systems is set to open a new factory in Sheffield for the production of M777 howitzers, aimed at strengthening support for Ukraine. The facility, which marks BAE Systems' return to UK artillery manufacturing, is expected to begin production in 2025. The project involves an investment of £25 million and includes the construction of a workshop covering an area of 0.87 hectares.
