Jan 22, 2025, 08:00 PM
The Azuki-linked AnimeCoin Foundation is set to launch the ANIME token on Ethereum and Arbitrum on January 23, 2025. Described as a 'culture coin', ANIME aims to create an open and decentralized anime universe, aligning incentives between creators and fans. The anime industry is projected to grow to $60 billion by 2030, and ANIME seeks to tap into this market. The total supply of ANIME tokens is 10 billion, with over 50% allocated to the Web3 community, primarily to the Azuki community. The Azuki community, including holders of Azuki, Azuki Elementals, and BEANZ Official NFTs, will receive 37.5% of the total supply, with allocations determined by the 'Collector's Status' program. Nearly 77% of the tokens will be unlocked immediately upon launch. The AnimeCoin Foundation will use 24.44% of the tokens for domain expansion efforts, while 15.62% will be allocated to the team, advisors, and contributors with a one-year cliff and three-year vesting period. An additional 13% is reserved for community cultivation, and 7.44% for the Azuki company. Partner communities, including Hyperliquid (HYPE) token stakers and others, will receive 2% of the tokens. ANIME will be available for trading on major exchanges like OKX, Bybit, and Binance upon launch.
