VisitAustralia, Anduril to Deliver Ghost Shark by 2025 with $58.4M Investment
Aug 7, 2024, 01:37 PM
The Australian government has announced an acceleration of the Anduril Ghost Shark program, with the first production vehicle expected to be delivered by the end of 2025. Canberra and Anduril Industries have signed an agreement to expedite the Royal Australian Navy’s Ghost Shark XL-AUV production, increasing the government’s overall investment in the Ghost Shark program to 90.1 million Australian dollars (58.4 million USD). The Ghost Shark XL-AUV is anticipated to enhance capabilities such as intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR), and limited strike operations. While the logistics aspect may be less relevant for Australia, it could greatly benefit the US, Philippines, and Japanese navies.
