District Attorney John Kellner announced that the Aurora Police Department officer who fatally shot Kilyn Lewis, a Black man, in May will not face criminal charges. The officer mistook Lewis's cellphone for a gun during the incident. In a decision letter issued on Friday, Kellner stated that the officer's actions were justified under the circumstances.
