Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that Assam Police apprehended 17 Bangladeshi nationals, including nine children, and sent them back across the international border. This action reflects Assam's firm stance against infiltration. The incident occurred in the early hours of September 28, 2024. Additionally, three Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended along the international border and handed over to the authorities of the neighboring country on September 27, 2024.
