Boise State, ranked No. 12, narrowly defeated Wyoming 17-13 to clinch a spot in the Mountain West Championship game. Running back Ashton Jeanty surpassed 2,000 rushing yards for the season during the game. Jeanty broke free for a 61-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, his 27th rushing touchdown of the season. Despite being tied 10-10 at halftime and trailing 13-10 in the fourth quarter, Boise State rallied to secure the win. Jeanty, who had 169 yards on 20 carries, continues to bolster his Heisman Trophy candidacy. He became the first FBS player with over 125 rushing yards in each of the first 11 games since 1996. With 2,062 rushing yards, Jeanty now holds the 19th-best single-season rushing mark in FBS history. Though he missed part of the game due to injury, Jeanty returned to help lead the Broncos to victory.
