The Armenian National Security Service has reported the prevention of a coup attempt aimed at violently seizing power against the Pashinyan government. The plot, allegedly orchestrated by pro-Russian forces, involved seven individuals, including five Armenian citizens and two former residents of Nagorno-Karabakh. These individuals reportedly received military training in Russia, specifically in Rostov-on-Don. Three suspects have been arrested, while four others remain wanted. The coup plot was allegedly well-funded, with each participant receiving 220,000 RUB per month. The Investigative Committee of Armenia has also confirmed the thwarted coup attempt.
