Armand 'Mondo' Duplantis of Sweden has set a new world record in the men's pole vault at the Paris Olympics, clearing 6.25 meters. This achievement also secured him the gold medal, marking his 19th consecutive victory in the event. Duplantis initially aimed for the Olympic record, clearing 6.10 meters on his first attempt before surpassing his own world record by 1 cm.
