VisitArgentina's Inflation Falls to 2.4% in November 2024, Lowest Since 2020 Under Milei
Dec 11, 2024, 07:48 PM
Argentina's inflation rate for November 2024 was reported at 2.4%, marking the lowest monthly increase since July 2020. This figure represents a significant drop from the 25.5% monthly inflation rate when President Javier Milei assumed office in December 2023. The decrease in inflation has been attributed to the economic stabilization measures implemented by Milei's administration. Notably, food and beverage prices rose by only 0.9%, the lowest since May 2020. The annual inflation rate for the last 12 months stood at 166%. The government's efforts have also resulted in a reduction in poverty rates from 54.9% to 44.6%.
