Argentina's Federal Police have dismantled a terrorist cell planning attacks on the Jewish community in Mendoza. The group, described as an 'Islamist terrorist organization,' was identified and targeted following threats made to a journalist from the Jewish community. In total, seven members of the cell were arrested during operations conducted by the police's anti-terrorist unit. The operation involved eight raids and was coordinated with the National Security Ministry. Argentina, which hosts Latin America's largest Jewish population, has a history of being targeted by terrorist attacks.
