Apr 16, 2024, 12:35 PM
Argentina has officially acquired 24 F-16A/B fighter jets from Denmark, as announced by President Javier Milei and Defense Minister Luis Petri. The deal, valued at approximately 2.1 billion Danish kroner ($300 million), includes the aircraft equipped with AIM-9X Sidewinders and AIM-120D AMRAAM missiles. These jets, nearly 40 years old, are part of Denmark's fleet of well-maintained and technologically updated aircraft. The purchase coincides with Denmark's transition to the newer F-35A fighters.
