Aptos has set a new record for daily transactions on a Layer 1 blockchain, surpassing Solana with a significant margin. Over the past 24 hours, Aptos processed an impressive 180 million transactions, far exceeding Solana's 30 million transactions. This achievement was accomplished without any increase in gas fees, which averaged $0.00009, and without any transaction failures, gas spikes, or wait times. Aptos sustained a peak transaction rate of 2700 transactions per second (TPS) and maintained 140,000 daily active users (DAUs). The blockchain's performance highlights its scalability and reliability, making it a strong contender for real-world applications, including those of the scale of VISA.
