VisitApple Unveils New $499 iPad Mini with A17 Pro, Apple Intelligence, and Pencil Pro Support
Oct 15, 2024, 01:46 PM
Apple has announced a new iPad mini equipped with the A17 Pro chip and support for Apple Intelligence. The updated iPad mini features an 8.3-inch display and introduces the 'Image Wand,' a tool that transforms rough sketches into polished images. Starting at $499 with 128GB of storage, the device is available for pre-order now and will ship on October 23. It supports the new Apple Pencil Pro, features Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, and comes in new blue and purple colors along with Starlight and Space Gray. Cellular models are activated with eSIM only, eliminating the physical SIM slot. The camera has been upgraded with Smart HDR 4, and the USB-C port now offers USB 3 speeds. The inclusion of the A17 Pro chip brings enhanced performance and enables Apple Intelligence features, marking a significant update to the iPad mini lineup since its last refresh three years ago.
