Apple Unveils iPhone 16 with Spatial Photo, Video, and Macro Photo Capture

Apple has announced that the new iPhone 16 models will feature the capability to capture Spatial Photos and Spatial Videos. This new functionality will be available across all iPhone 16 models, including the iPhone 16 Pro, which will also offer customizable Photographic Styles and the ability to take macro photos. The spatial capture feature is enabled by a new camera configuration that includes the equivalent of four lenses and stereoscopic information from two lenses. Users will be able to view these spatial photos and videos on the Apple Vision Pro. Additionally, the iPhone 16 Pro will support Spatial Audio capture with 4 mics. This development is expected to make spatial photo and video capture more accessible to a wider audience, potentially putting 3D cameras in the pockets of hundreds of millions of people.
