Aug 22, 2024, 04:14 PM
Apple is making significant changes to its iOS and iPadOS systems to comply with the European Union's Digital Markets Act (DMA). The company announced that users in the EU will be able to delete certain native apps, including the App Store, Messages, Photos, Camera, and Safari, in the upcoming iOS 18 update. Additionally, Apple is updating the browser choice screen and expanding app default settings, allowing users to set default apps for phone calls, messages, navigation, and more. A dedicated section for changing default apps will also be introduced on iPhones.
