Nov 13, 2024, 11:05 PM
Apple has officially released Final Cut Pro 11, marking the first major update to the software since 2011. The new version is powered by advanced AI features, including Magnetic Mask for AI rotoscoping, AI-generated Transcribe to Captions, and 3D Spatial Video editing. Additional features include automatic hiding of original clips when using synced or multi-cam clips, and new Picture-in-Picture (PiP) and Callout effects. The update is available for free to existing Final Cut Pro X users and will not transition to a subscription model. This release underscores Apple's ambitious goals for professional software development and includes support for spatial video editing for Apple Vision Pro.
