VisitApple, Google Wallets Now Support California Driver's Licenses in MDL Pilot Program

Apple has announced that California residents can now add their driver's licenses and state IDs to Apple Wallet. This feature allows users to securely store and present their ID digitally on their iPhone and Apple Watch. The initiative is part of the California DMV's MDL pilot program. Additionally, Apple has revealed plans to expand this feature to Montana, New Mexico, and West Virginia, and internationally to Japan. Google wallets also support California driver's licenses. The first-time real ID can be privately verified from Apple Wallet is powered by SpruceID. Apple also teased four new partners for IDs in Wallet.
