Apple Begins $395 Payouts to Butterfly Keyboard MacBook Owners in August

Apple has begun distributing payments to owners of MacBook laptops affected by the defective butterfly keyboard design. The compensation is part of a $50 million settlement agreed upon in 2022. Eligible owners of MacBook models from 2015 to 2019 can receive up to $395. This settlement follows over six years of litigation, with the first class-action lawsuit filed against Apple for the flawed MacBook Pro keyboard design. The payments, scheduled for August, have now started to be sent.
