Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) has called for New York City Mayor Eric Adams to resign amid ongoing federal investigations into his administration's ties to five additional countries. AOC, the most prominent Democrat to make this demand, cited the flood of resignations and vacancies within Adams' administration as a threat to government function. She emphasized that nonstop investigations will make it impossible to recruit and retain a qualified administration. Other state lawmakers, including NY Senator Rivera, have also joined the call for Adams' resignation.
