VisitAnthropic Releases Claude 3.5 Sonnet, Surpassing OpenAI's GPT-4o and Google's Models
Jun 20, 2024, 02:04 PM
Anthropic has announced the release of its latest AI model, Claude 3.5 Sonnet. This new model is claimed to surpass competitors, including OpenAI's GPT-4o and Google's models, in various benchmarks. Claude 3.5 Sonnet is reported to be twice as fast as its predecessor, Claude 3 Opus, and operates at one-fifth the cost. It can analyze both text and images, generate text, and is available for free on the Claude iOS app. The model costs $3 per million input tokens and $15 per million output tokens. This release comes just three months after Anthropic's last model, highlighting the rapid pace of development in the AI industry. Despite these advancements, progress in machine intelligence has been more incremental than revolutionary. Anthropic's co-founder Daniela Amodei described Claude 3.5 Sonnet as 'best-in-class.'
