VisitAnonymity Order Lifted: Alleged Chinese Spy Linked to Prince Andrew Named as 50-Year-Old Yang Tengbo
Dec 16, 2024, 02:20 PM
A High Court judge has lifted an anonymity order to reveal that an alleged Chinese spy linked to Prince Andrew is 50-year-old businessman and former government official Yang Tengbo, also known as Chris Yang. Yang, who was banned from the UK in 2023 over national security concerns, is described as a 'close confidant' of the Duke of York. He allegedly had a close business relationship with Prince Andrew and was suspected of helping China exert influence abroad. Yang was previously referred to as 'H6' and is believed to have controlled a web of royal, political, and business contacts. The decision to name Yang publicly was made amid growing pressure and widespread media interest, following earlier revelations by Radio Free Asia. The anonymity order was lifted on Monday afternoon.
