This action follows allegations of adulteration of the Tirumala's Laddu Prasadam with animal fats. Kalyan expressed deep personal hurt over the allegations and vowed to undertake the penance to seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara. The penance, referred to as 'Prayaschitta Diksha,' aims to address the alleged impurity in the prasad of Sri Tirupati Balaji Dham.
