Smith informed AMD of her resignation on November 15, 2024, and will remain as Vice President until January 2025. Philip Carter has been appointed as the new Chief Accounting Officer. AMD clarified that Smith’s resignation is not due to any dispute or disagreement with the company. Following the announcement, AMD's stock declined by 1% in after-hours trading.
