VisitAmber Heard Backs Blake Lively in 'It Ends With Us' Smear Campaign and Sexual Harassment Allegations Against Justin Baldoni
Dec 23, 2024, 04:40 PM
Amber Heard has publicly supported Blake Lively following Lively's allegations of sexual harassment and a smear campaign against Justin Baldoni. Lively filed a complaint against Baldoni, her co-star and director in the film 'It Ends With Us,' alleging that he hired the same crisis PR team, led by Melissa Nathan, used by Johnny Depp during his defamation trial against Heard in 2022. Heard, who experienced a similar campaign, stated to NBC News that 'Social media is the absolute personification of the classic saying ‘A lie travels halfway around the world before truth can get its boots on.’ I saw this firsthand and up close. It’s as horrifying as it is destructive.' Lively's complaint also includes allegations of Baldoni discussing her weight, pressing her about her religious beliefs, and inappropriately talking about his sex life. Lively's husband, Ryan Reynolds, was present at a meeting addressing these concerns. The film, distributed by Sony Pictures, is based on the novel by Colleen Hoover. Baldoni's attorney, Bryan Freedman, has denied these allegations, calling them 'shameful' and 'categorically false.' Following the allegations, WME dropped Baldoni as a client.
