VisitAmazon's Audible to Use AI-Generated Voice Replicas for Audiobooks with US-Based Narrators in Royalty-Sharing Model
Sep 9, 2024, 03:52 PM
Amazon's Audible is inviting a select group of US-based audiobook narrators to train artificial intelligence on their voices. The initiative aims to create AI-generated voice replicas for audiobook recordings. This US-only beta test will allow narrators to clone their voices, with the clones being used to produce audiobooks. Performers will retain creative control over their AI voice and will be compensated on a title-by-title basis through a royalty-sharing model. The project is designed to address the vast catalog of books that have not yet been turned into audiobooks.
