VisitAmazon Raises Warehouse Worker Pay by $1.50, Adds Prime Membership Perk
Sep 18, 2024, 03:36 PM
Amazon has announced an increase in the pay of its hourly warehouse workers by at least $1.50 an hour. This raise will bring the average base wage to more than $22 per hour. In addition to the pay increase, Amazon is adding Prime memberships to the benefit packages of these workers. The Prime membership perk will include access to Prime Video and will be available as part of the compensation starting early next year. This move comes after the company laid off 30,000 employees. The pay raise affects workers in fulfillment and transport operations.
