Amazon and Microsoft have announced significant investments in France, totaling approximately $5.6 billion. Amazon plans to invest $1.3 billion in its French operations, aiming to create over 3,000 permanent jobs. Concurrently, Microsoft has committed to a $4.3 billion investment to enhance its cloud and AI infrastructure in the country. This financial influx is part of the 'Choose France' summit, aimed at bolstering France's economic appeal to foreign investors. Microsoft's investment also includes the establishment of a data center in Mulhouse and a comprehensive skills training program for one million people to support France's growing AI economy.
