VisitAmazon Fined Nearly $6 Million for Violating California Warehouse Quotas Law
Jun 18, 2024, 11:56 PM
Amazon has been fined nearly $6 million by California regulators for failing to provide written performance quotas to workers at two warehouses in Southern California. The fine comes after a five-month investigation revealed that Amazon violated the 2022 Warehouse Quotas law 59,017 times. The California Labor Commissioner's Office cited Amazon for not properly informing workers of productivity quotas, which allegedly put worker safety at risk. Amazon has responded by claiming that they do not have such quotas. The warehouses in question are located in the Inland Empire region, where some workers are also attempting to unionize.
