VisitAlex de Minaur Reaches Fourth Round of French Open for First Time Since 2007, Faces Medvedev Next
Jun 1, 2024, 04:43 PM
Australian tennis player Alex de Minaur has reached the fourth round of the French Open for the first time in his career. De Minaur secured his spot by defeating Jan-Lennard Struff with a score of 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-3 in heavy conditions. This achievement marks a career-best run for de Minaur, who is now the first Australian man to reach the fourth round at Roland Garros since Lleyton Hewitt in 2007. De Minaur's victory follows a straight-set win over Jaume Munar, 7-5, 6-1, 6-4, in the earlier rounds. He is set to face Daniil Medvedev in the next round. De Minaur has had the best clay season of his career overall and will very likely leave Paris inside the top 10.
