Alec Baldwin's involuntary manslaughter trial for the 2021 shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins is underway at Santa Fe Court. The defense argues that Baldwin committed no crime, asserting that he followed instructions when his gun fired. On the third day of the trial, Baldwin's lawyers filed a surprise motion to dismiss the case, claiming the state failed to disclose a batch of bullets. As a result, a New Mexico judge sent the jury home to consider the motion. Baldwin faces up to 18 months in prison if convicted.
