An Al-Qaeda affiliate, Jama'a Nusrat ul-Islam wa al-Muslimin (JNIM), has claimed responsibility for a deadly attack in Burkina Faso on June 11. The attack resulted in the deaths of at least 170 people, including over 100 soldiers near the border with Niger. JNIM has released a video showcasing the weapons and ammunition seized during the attack. Local sources report that more than 100 Faso troops were lost in Mansila.
